ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Enrollment at Kūlia Christian Academy is open to preschool-age students between the ages of 2 years and 9 months through age 5. Students entering the 4's and junior kindergarten class must be fully potty-trained before the first day of school. It is preferred that students in 3's class are potty trained as well. However, if children are in the process of potty training, KCA staff will work with families in this area.

  • Students entering the 3’s program must be a minimum of 2.9 years when the school year begins in September and turning 3 by December 31 of the current school year.

  • Students entering the 4's program must be a minimum of 3.9 years when the school year begins in September and turning 4 by December 31 of the current school year.

  • Students entering the junior kindergarten (JK) program are usually late-born students who are not eligible for kindergarten because their birthdates fall after July 31. However, all 4-year-old students are eligible for JK as long as they are eligible for kindergarten the following school year.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

As a ministry of New Hope Oʻahu, Kūlia Christian Academy is here to serve Oʻahu families looking for quality Christian child care. Kūlia Christian Academy offers rolling enrollment and will fill available openings throughout the school year. Families who are interested in applying to Kūlia Christian Academy are encouraged to do the following:

  • Browse the school's website to learn about KCA's program.

  • Complete an online application and submit the application and application fee electronically. (The non-refundable application fee is $75.)

  • Schedule and complete a video conference call with KCA's director.

Once steps 1 - 3 have been completed, families will be contacted via email by KCA's office administrator. If space is available, families will be sent an acceptance letter. If space is unavailable, children will be placed on a waitlist, and families will be contacted when a space becomes available.

TOURS:

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, KCA will not be conducting in-person tours at this time. Instead, tours will be done virtually and a video conference will be scheduled with the school's director.
